بَابُ مَنْ سَأَلَ اللَّهَ خَيْرًا فَلَا يَصْرِفُهُ عَنْ غَيْرِهِ .
Whoever asks Allah for some good should not turn it away from others

عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو : أَنَّ رَجُلًا جَاءَ فَقَالَ : اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي وَلِمُحَمَّدٍ ، وَلَا تُشْرِكْ فِي رَحْمَتِكَ إِيَّانَا أَحَدًا . فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ قَائِلُهَا ؟ " . فَقَالَ الرَّجُلُ : أَنَا ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَقَدْ حَجَبْتَهُنَّ عَنْ نَاسٍ كَثِيرٍ " . رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ بِنَحْوِهِ ، وَإِسْنَادُهُمَا حَسَنٌ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) relates: A man came and said: "O Allah! Forgive me and Sayyiduna Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), and do not make anyone a partner with us in Your mercy upon us." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "Who is the one who said this?" He replied: "It is I." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You have screened that (mercy) off from many people."
Imam Ahmad recorded this narration, and Imam al-Tabarani recorded something similar, and the chains of both are hasan (good).
