Book of Remembrance
بَابٌ : ذِكْرُ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى فِي الْأَحْوَالِ كُلِّهَا ، وَالصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - .

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " مَا قَعَدَ قَوْمٌ مَقْعَدًا لَمْ يَذْكُرُوا فِيهِ اللَّهَ - عَزَّ وَجَلَّ - وَيُصَلُّوا عَلَى النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - إِلَّا كَانَ عَلَيْهِمْ حَسْرَةً يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ، وَإِنْ دَخَلُوا الْجَنَّةَ لِلثَّوَابِ " .
قُلْتُ : رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ بِاخْتِصَارٍ .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .

Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When some people sit in a gathering and do not remember Allah in that gathering, nor send blessings upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), it will be a cause of regret for them on the Day of Resurrection with regard to the reward, even if they enter Paradise."
(Allamah Haythami says:) I say: Tirmidhi recorded this report in abridged form.

وَعَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " مَا مِنْ قَوْمٍ جَلَسُوا مَجْلِسًا ثُمَّ قَامُوا مِنْهُ لَمْ يَذْكُرُوا اللَّهَ ، وَلَمْ يُصَلُّوا عَلَى النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - إِلَّا كَانَ ذَلِكَ الْمَجْلِسُ عَلَيْهِمْ تِرَةً " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَرِجَالُهُ وُثِّقُوا .

Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When some people sit in a gathering and then rise from that gathering without remembering Allah Almighty and without sending blessings upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), it (that is, this deed) will be a cause of loss (that is, of regret) for them."

قُلْتُ : عِنْدَ التِّرْمِذِيِّ بَعْضُهُ .

Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whenever some people sit in a gathering and do not remember Allah Almighty in it, it will be a cause of loss or regret for them; and when a person walks along a path without remembering Allah Almighty, it will be a cause of loss or regret for him; and whoever goes to his bed without remembering Allah Almighty, it will be a cause of loss or regret for him." (Allamah Haythami says:) I say: Tirmidhi recorded part of it.

وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُغَفَّلٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " مَا مِنْ قَوْمٍ اجْتَمَعُوا فِي مَجْلِسٍ فَتَفَرَّقُوا وَلَمْ يَذْكُرُوا اللَّهَ - عَزَّ وَجَلَّ - إِلَّا كَانَ ذَلِكَ الْمَجْلِسُ حَسْرَةً [ عَلَيْهِمْ ] يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ وَالْكَبِيرِ ، وَرِجَالُهُمَا رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mughaffal (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whenever some people gather in a gathering and rise without remembering Allah Almighty, that gathering will be a cause of regret for them on the Day of Resurrection."
Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat and al-Mu'jam al-Kabir, and the narrators of both are the narrators of the Sahih.

وَعَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يَقُولُ : " مَا مِنْ سَاعَةٍ تَمُرُّ بِابْنِ آدَمَ لَمْ يَذْكُرِ اللَّهَ فِيهَا بِخَيْرٍ إِلَّا حَسَرَ عِنْدَهَا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحُصَيْنِ الْعُقَيْلِيُّ ، وَهُوَ مَتْرُوكٌ .

Sayyidah Aishah Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that she heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whatever hour passes over the son of Adam in which he did not remember Allah Almighty with good, that hour will be a cause of regret for him on the Day of Resurrection."
Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains Amr bin al-Husayn al-Uqayli, who is matruk (abandoned).
