بَابُ مَا جَاءَ فِي جَمَاعَةٍ مِنَ الصَّحَابَةِ وَغَيْرِهِمْ ذَكَرَ لَهُمْ أَسْمَاءَهُمْ ، أَوْ وَفَيَاتِهِمْ ، أَوْ أَنْسَابَهُمْ .

- وَعَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ رَبَاحٍ قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ مَخْلَدٍ يَقُولُ : وُلِدْتُ حِينَ قَدِمَ النَّبِيُّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - الْمَدِينَةَ ، وَمَاتَ وَأَنَا ابْنُ عَشْرٍ .

Ali bin Rabah said: I heard Sayyiduna Ibn Makhlad say: I was born in the year when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to Madinah, and when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed away I was ten years old.

- وَعَنْ مَسْلَمَةَ بْنِ مَخْلَدٍ قَالَ : قَدِمَ النَّبِيُّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - الْمَدِينَةَ ، وَأَنَا ابْنُ أَرْبَعٍ ، وَتُوُفِّيَ وَأَنَا ابْنُ أَرْبَعَ عَشْرَةَ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَقَالَ : عِنْدِي هُوَ الصَّوَابُ ، وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ .
وَفِيهِ مُوسَى بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ حَيَّانَ ، وَثَّقَهُ ابْنُ حِبَّانَ ، وَضَعَّفَهُ أَبُو زُرْعَةَ . وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَقَالَ : عِنْدِي هُوَ الصَّوَابُ ، وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ .
وَفِيهِ مُوسَى بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ حَيَّانَ ، وَثَّقَهُ ابْنُ حِبَّانَ ، وَضَعَّفَهُ أَبُو زُرْعَةَ . وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Sayyiduna Maslamah bin Makhlad (may Allah be pleased with him) said: When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to Madinah I was four years old, and when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed away I was fourteen years old.
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it, and he said: In my view this is the correct report, and Allah knows best. Its chain contains Musa bin Muhammad bin Hayyan, whom Ibn Hibban declared thiqah (trustworthy) and Abu Zur'ah declared da'if (weak); the rest of its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.

- وَقَالَ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ : مَسْلَمَةُ بْنُ مَخْلَدِ بْنِ صَامِتِ بْنِ بَيْرِ بْنِ كَوْذَانَ بْنِ عَبْدُودِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَعْلَبَةَ بْنِ الْخَزْرَجِ بْنِ سَاعِدَةَ بْنِ كَعْبِ بْنِ الْخَزْرَجِ . .
Imam al-Tabarani said: Sayyiduna Maslamah (may Allah be pleased with him) bin Makhlad bin Samit bin Bayr bin Kawdhan bin Abd Wudd bin Zayd bin Tha'labah bin al-Khazraj bin Sa'idah bin Ka'b bin al-Khazraj.
- وَقَالَ أَيْضًا : مُخَيِّصَةُ بْنُ نَوْفَلِ بْنِ أُهَيْبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ مَنَافِ بْنِ زُهْرَةَ بْنِ كِلَابِ بْنِ مُرَّةَ بْنِ كَعْبِ بْنِ لُؤَيِّ بْنِ لُؤَيٍّ ، وَأُمُّهُ : رَقِيقَةُ بِنْتُ أَبِي صَيْفِيِّ بْنِ هَاشِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ مَنَافٍ .
Imam al-Tabarani also said: Sayyiduna Makhisah (may Allah be pleased with him) bin Nawfal bin Uhayb bin Abd Manaf bin Zuhrah bin Kilab bin Murrah bin Ka'b bin Lu'ayy bin Lu'ayy. His mother is Raqiqah bint Abi Sayfi bin Hashim bin Abd Manaf.
- وَقَالَ أَيْضًا : مِسْوَرُ بْنُ مَخْرَمَةَ بْنِ نَوْفَلِ بْنِ أُهَيْبٍ الزُّهْرِيُّ ، أُمُّهُ أُخْتُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ ، يُقَالُ : اسْمُهَا رَمْلَةُ [ وَكَانَ عِنْدَ الْمِسْوَرِ جُوَيْرِيَّةُ بِنْتُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ ، وَهِي أُمُّ ابِنِهِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْمِسْوَرِ ] . .
Imam al-Tabarani also said: Sayyiduna Miswar (may Allah be pleased with him) bin Makhramah bin Nawfal bin Uhayb al-Zuhri. His mother is the sister of Sayyiduna Abd al-Rahman bin Awf (may Allah be pleased with him); according to one view her name is Ramlah. Juwayriyah bint Abd al-Rahman bin Awf was married to Sayyiduna Miswar (may Allah be pleased with him), and she is the mother of his son Abd al-Rahman bin al-Miswar.
- وَقَالَ بَكْرُ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ الْحَنَفِيُّ : لَمْ يُخَرَّجْ .
Imam al-Tabarani said: Sayyiduna Bakr bin Habib al-Hanafi (may Allah be pleased with him). Imam al-Tabarani did not record any narration from him.
- وَقَالَ : تَمِيمُ بْنُ حَجَرٍ : أَبُو أَوْسٍ الْأَسْلَمِيُّ جَدُّ بُرَيْدَةَ بْنِ سُفْيَانَ ، لَهُ صُحْبَةٌ ، لَمْ يُخَرَّجْ حَدِيثُهُ .
Imam al-Tabarani said: Sayyiduna Tamim (may Allah be pleased with him) bin Hajar, Abu Aws al-Aslami; he is the grandfather of Buraydah bin Sufyan. He had the honour of being a Companion. Imam al-Tabarani did not record any hadith from him.
- وَقَالَ : تَمِيمُ بْنُ [ عَبْدِ ] عَمْرٍو أَبُو الْحَسَنِ الْمَازِنِيُّ .
Imam al-Tabarani said: Sayyiduna Tamim (may Allah be pleased with him) bin Abd Amr, Abu al-Hasan al-Mazini.
- وَعَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ : أَبُو الْحَسَنِ الْمَازِنِيُّ جَدُّ عَمْرِو بْنِ يَحْيَى ، اسْمُهُ تَمِيمُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، اسْتَعْمَلَهُ عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ عَلَى الْمَدِينَةِ حِينَ خَرَجَ إِلَى الْعِرَاقِ حِينَ خَرَجَ [ إِلَيْهِ ] سَهْلُ بْنُ حُنَيْفٍ . .
Muhammad bin Ishaq said: Sayyiduna Abu al-Hasan al-Mazini (may Allah be pleased with him) is the grandfather of Amr bin Yahya; his name is Tamim bin Amr. When Sayyiduna Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) went to Iraq, he appointed him governor of Madinah, when Sahl bin Hunayf had gone out to him.
- وَعَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْحَضْرَمِيِّ قَالَ : وَفِي حَدِيثِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي رَافِعٍ فِي تَسْمِيَةِ مَنْ شَهِدَ مَعَ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ - كَرَّمَ اللَّهُ وَجْهَهُ - جُبَيْرُ بْنُ حُبَابِ بْنِ الْمُنْذِرِ .

Muhammad bin Abdullah al-Hadrami said: It is mentioned in the hadith narrated by Sayyiduna Ubaydullah bin Abi Rafi' (may Allah be pleased with him), in which he named those who took part in battle alongside Sayyiduna Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him), that among them was Sayyiduna Jubayr bin Hubab bin al-Mundhir (may Allah be pleased with him).

- وَقَالَ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ : جَرَّاحٌ الْأَشْجَعِيُّ .
Imam al-Tabarani said: Sayyiduna Jarrah al-Ashja'i (may Allah be pleased with him).
- وَقَالَ : حَاطِبُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ مَعْمَرِ بْنِ حَبِيبِ بْنِ وَهْبِ بْنِ حُذَافَةَ بْنِ جُمَحٍ ، هَاجَرَ هُوَ وَامْرَأَتُهُ : فَاطِمَةُ بِنْتُ الْمُجَلِّلِ ، وَمَعَهُمَا ابْنَاهُمَا : الْحَارِثُ وَمُحَمَّدٌ ابْنَا حَاطِبٍ .
Imam al-Tabarani said: Sayyiduna Hatib (may Allah be pleased with him) bin al-Harith bin Ma'mar bin Habib bin Wahb bin Hudhafah bin Jumah. He and his wife, Sayyidah Fatimah bint al-Mujallil (may Allah be pleased with her), migrated, and along with the two of them their two sons, al-Harith and Muhammad, migrated; both of them are the sons of Sayyiduna Hatib (may Allah be pleased with him).
- وَقَالَ : وَحُصَيْنُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ [ الْكَلْبِيُّ ] لَمْ يُخَرَّجْ .
Imam al-Tabarani said: Sayyiduna Husayn bin Yazid al-Kalbi (may Allah be pleased with him). Imam al-Tabarani did not record any narration from him.
- وَقَالَ : وَحُوَيِّصَةُ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ لَمْ يُخَرَّجْ .
Imam al-Tabarani said: Sayyiduna Huwayyisah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him). Imam al-Tabarani did not record any narration from him.
- وَقَالَ : خَارِجَةُ بْنُ حُذَافَةَ بْنِ غَانِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَوْفِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ عُوَيْجِ بْنِ عَدِيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ ، وَكَانَ مِمَّنْ حَضَرَ فَتْحَ مِصْرَ ، وَمَاتَ بِهَا .
Imam al-Tabarani said: Sayyiduna Kharijah (may Allah be pleased with him) bin Hudhafah bin Ghanim bin Abdullah bin Awf bin Ubayd bin Uwayj bin Adi bin Ka'b. He was one of those who took part in the conquest of Egypt, and he also died there in Egypt.
- وَقَالَ : وَزُهَيْرُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ الْجُشَمِيُّ لَمْ يُخَرَّجْ .
Imam al-Tabarani said: Sayyiduna Zuhayr bin Mu'awiyah al-Jushami (may Allah be pleased with him). Imam al-Tabarani did not record any narration from him.
- وَقَالَ : وَسَعْدُ بْنُ هِلَالٍ لَمْ يُخَرَّجْ .
Imam al-Tabarani said: Sayyiduna Sa'd bin Hilal (may Allah be pleased with him). Imam al-Tabarani did not record any narration from him.
- وَعَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ إِيَاسٍ أَبِي عَمْرٍو الشَّيْبَانِيِّ قَالَ : أَذْكُرُ أَنِّي سَمِعْتُ بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - وَأَنَا أَرْعَى إِبِلًا لِأَهْلِي بِكَاظِمَةَ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَسَمَّاهُ سَعِيدًا ، وَصَوَابُهُ سَعْدٌ ، وَفِيهِ هِشَامُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ السُّلَمِيُّ ، وَلَمْ أَعْرِفْهُ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَسَمَّاهُ سَعِيدًا ، وَصَوَابُهُ سَعْدٌ ، وَفِيهِ هِشَامُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ السُّلَمِيُّ ، وَلَمْ أَعْرِفْهُ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Sayyiduna Sa'id bin Iyas Abu Amr al-Shaybani (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I remember that I heard about the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) while I was herding my family's camels at Kazimah.
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it. He named him Sayyiduna Sa'id (may Allah be pleased with him), whereas the correct name is Sayyiduna Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him). Its chain contains Hisham bin Abdullah al-Sulami, whom I do not know; the rest of its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.

- وَقَالَ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ : سَلَمَةُ بْنُ نُفَيْعٍ ، وَسَلَمَةُ بْنُ جَارِيَةَ ، وَسَلَمَةُ الْخُزَاعِيُّ ، وَسَابِقٌ مَوْلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - . .
Imam al-Tabarani said: Sayyiduna Salamah bin Nufay' (may Allah be pleased with him), Sayyiduna Salamah bin Jariyah (may Allah be pleased with him), Sayyiduna Salamah al-Khuza'i (may Allah be pleased with him), and Sabiq (may Allah be pleased with him), the freed slave (mawla) of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
- وَقَالَ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ : شُرَيْكُ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ ، وَشَبِيبُ بْنُ أَنْعُمٍ ، وَلَمْ يُنْسَبْ ، وَشُعَيْبُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، وَلَمْ يُنْسَبْ .
Imam al-Tabarani said: Sayyiduna Shurayk bin Hanbal (may Allah be pleased with him); Sayyiduna Shabib bin An'um (may Allah be pleased with him), whose lineage he did not give; and Sayyiduna Shu'ayb bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him), whose lineage he did not give.
- وَعَنِ الْقَاسِمِ : أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ : لَقِيتُ مِائَةً مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ .

Al-Qasim Abu Abd al-Rahman said: I met one hundred of the Companions.

- وَقَالَ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ : عُبَيْدَةُ بْنُ صَيْفِيٍّ الْجُعْفِيُّ . .
Imam al-Tabarani said: Sayyiduna Ubaydah bin Sayfi al-Ju'fi (may Allah be pleased with him).
- وَعَنْ عَبِيدَةَ السَّلْمَانِيِّ قَالَ : أَسْلَمْتُ قَبْلَ وَفَاةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - بِسَنَتَيْنِ ، وَصَلَّيْتُ ، وَلَمْ أَلْقَهُ . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ عَمْرُو بْنُ زُرَارَةَ الْجُدَيُّ ، وَلَمْ أَعْرِفْهُ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Abidah al-Salmani said: I accepted Islam two years before the passing of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and I also performed prayer, but I did not meet the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).

- وَعَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ مَعِينٍ قَالَ : عَبْدُ خَيْرِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ جَاهِلِيٌّ إِسْلَامِيٌّ ، قَالَ : أَذْكُرُ أَنَّا كُنَّا بِالْيَمَنِ ، فَأَتَانَا كِتَابُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ .
Yahya bin Ma'in said: Abd Khayr bin Yazid al-Hamdani lived in both the time of the Jahiliyyah and the time of Islam. He said: I remember that we were in Yemen, and the letter of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came to us.

- وَقَالَ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ : عُمَارَةُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الْخَثْعَمِيُّ .
Imam al-Tabarani said: Sayyiduna Umarah bin Ubayd al-Khath'ami (may Allah be pleased with him).
- وَعَنْ مُصْعَبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الزُّبَيْرِيِّ ، وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ زَيْدِ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ قَالَ : قُبِضَ النَّبِيُّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - وَأَنَا ابْنُ سِتٍّ وَسِتِّينَ .
قَالَ : وَكَانَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ مِنْ أَطْوَلِ الرِّجَالِ وَأَتَمِّهِمْ ، وَابْنُهُ عَبْدُ الْحَمِيدِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ وَلِيَ الْكُوفَةَ لِعُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ، وَكَانَ كَاتِبُهُ أَبُو الزِّنَادِ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَإِسْنَادُهُ مُنْقَطِعٌ .
قَالَ : وَكَانَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ مِنْ أَطْوَلِ الرِّجَالِ وَأَتَمِّهِمْ ، وَابْنُهُ عَبْدُ الْحَمِيدِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ وَلِيَ الْكُوفَةَ لِعُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ، وَكَانَ كَاتِبُهُ أَبُو الزِّنَادِ .

Mus'ab bin Abdullah al-Zubayri and Abd al-Rahman bin Zayd bin al-Khattab said: When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed away I was sixty-six years old. The narrator said: Abd al-Rahman was the tallest of men. His son, Abd al-Hamid bin Abd al-Rahman bin Zayd bin al-Khattab, became governor of Kufah, appointed on behalf of Sayyiduna Umar bin Abd al-Aziz (may Allah be pleased with him), and his secretary was Abu al-Zinad.

- وَبِسَنَدِهِ قَالَ : كَانَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ يُكَنَّى أَبَا مُحَمَّدٍ ، وَكَانَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ هِشَامِ ابْنَ عَشْرِ سِنِينَ حِينَ قُبِضَ النَّبِيُّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - .
With the same chain, Imam al-Tabarani said: Sayyiduna Abd al-Rahman bin al-Harith (may Allah be pleased with him); his kunyah was Abu Muhammad. Sayyiduna Abd al-Rahman bin al-Harith bin Hisham (may Allah be pleased with him) was ten years old at the time of the passing of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
- وَقَالَ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ : عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي الْعَاصِ ابْنُ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - لَهُ ذِكْرٌ ، وَلَيْسَ لَهُ سَنَدٌ .
Imam al-Tabarani said: Sayyiduna Ali bin Abi al-As (may Allah be pleased with him), who is the son of Sayyidah Zaynab (may Allah be pleased with her), the daughter of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) — mention of him is found, but there is no chain of narration for it.
- وَقَالَ : عَامِرُ بْنُ شَهْرٍ لَمْ يُخَرَّجْ .
Imam al-Tabarani said: Sayyiduna Amir bin Shahr (may Allah be pleased with him) — Imam al-Tabarani did not record any narration on his authority.
- وَقَالَ : عَتَّابُ بْنُ بَشِيرٍ لَمْ يُخَرَّجْ .
Imam al-Tabarani said: Sayyiduna Attab bin Bashir (may Allah be pleased with him) — he did not record any narration on his authority.
- وَقَالَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الْبُخَارِيُّ : عُجَيْرُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعُزَّى ، سَكَنَ مَكَّةَ ، وَرَوَى عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - حَدِيثًا ، وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الْحَدِيثَ .

Imam Muhammad bin Isma'il al-Bukhari said: Sayyiduna Ujayr bin Yazid bin Abd al-Uzza (may Allah be pleased with him) settled in Makkah. He narrated one hadith from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), but Imam al-Bukhari (may Allah have mercy on him) did not mention that hadith.

- وَقَالَ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ : عَازِبُ بْنُ الْحَازِبِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ أَبُو الْبَرَاءِ بْنُ عَازِبٍ .
Imam al-Tabarani said: Sayyiduna Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) bin al-Hazib bin al-Harith; he is the father of Sayyiduna al-Bara' bin Azib (may Allah be pleased with him).
- وَعَنِ الْبُخَارِيِّ قَالَ : وَعَلْقَمَةُ بْنُ حَوْشَبٍ الْغِفَارِيُّ سَكَنَ الْمَدِينَةَ ، وَرَوَى عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - [ حَدِيثًا ، وَلَمْ يَذْكُرِ الْحَدِيثَ الَّذِي رَوَاهُ ] .

Imam al-Bukhari (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Sayyiduna Alqamah bin Hawshab al-Ghifari (may Allah be pleased with him) settled in Madinah. - وَقَالَ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ : عِمْرَانُ بْنُ تَيْمٍ : أَبُو رَجَاءٍ الْعُطَارِدِيُّ مُخَضْرَمٌ .
Imam al-Tabarani said: Sayyiduna Imran bin Taym, Abu Raja' al-Utaridi — he is a "mukhadram".
- وَقَالَ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ : أَبُو رَجَاءٍ الْعُطَارِدِيُّ سَنَةَ خَمْسٍ وَمِائَةٍ ، رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ .
Imam Ahmad bin Hanbal said: Sayyiduna Abu Raja' al-Utaridi (may Allah be pleased with him) died in 105 AH.

- وَعَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ مَعْينٍ ، قَالَ : مَاتَ أَبُو رَجَاءٍ الْعُطَارِدِيُّ سَنَةَ خَمْسٍ وَمِائَةٍ .
Yahya bin Ma'in said: Sayyiduna Abu Raja' al-Utaridi (may Allah be pleased with him) died in 105 AH.
- وَعَنْ أَبِي رَجَاءٍ الْعُطَارِدِيِّ قَالَ : بُعِثَ النَّبِيُّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - وَأَنَا خُمَاسِيٌّ يَدْعُو إِلَى الْجَنَّةِ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ .

Sayyiduna Abu Raja' al-Utaridi (may Allah be pleased with him) said: When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was sent, I was in my fifth year. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) called people to Paradise.

- وَقَالَ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ : أَبُو رُهْمٍ الْغِفَارِيُّ ، وَهُوَ كُلْثُومُ بْنُ الْحُصَيْنِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ خَلَفِ بْنِ قَيْسِ بْنِ أَحْمُسَ بْنِ غِفَارِ بْنِ مُقْبِلِ بْنِ بَكْرِ بْنِ ضَمْرَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ مَنَاةَ بْنِ كِنَانَةَ بْنِ خُزَيْمَةَ بْنِ مُدْرِكَةَ بْنِ إِلْيَاسَ بْنِ مُضَرَ بْنِ نِزَارِ بْنِ مَعَدِّ بْنِ عَدْنَانَ ، وَكَانَ مِمَّنْ بَايَعَ تَحْتَ الشَّجَرَةِ .
Imam al-Tabarani said: Sayyiduna Abu Ruhm al-Ghifari (may Allah be pleased with him) — he is Sayyiduna Kulthum bin al-Husayn bin Ubayd bin Khalaf bin Qays bin Ahmus bin Ghifar bin Muqbil bin Bakr bin Damrah bin Abd Manat bin Kinanah bin Khuzaymah bin Mudrikah bin Ilyas bin Mudar bin Nizar bin Ma'add bin Adnan. He was one of those who pledged allegiance beneath the tree.
- وَقَالَ كُرْزٌ التَّمِيمِيُّ : غَيْرُ مَنْسُوبٍ .
Imam al-Tabarani said: Sayyiduna Kurz al-Tamimi (may Allah be pleased with him) — his lineage has not been stated.
- وَقَالَ لَبِيدٌ : أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ لَمْ يُخَرَّجْ .
Imam al-Tabarani said: Sayyiduna Labid Abu Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) — he did not record any narration on his authority.
