بَابٌ فِيمَنْ ذَكَرَ لَهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ اسْمًا أَوْ كُنْيَةً .

عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ قَالَ : أَبُو الْمَلِيحِ بْنُ أُسَامَةَ اسْمُهُ عَامِرُ بْنُ أُسَامَةَ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ .

Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Numayr said: Sayyiduna Abu al-Malih bin Usamah (may Allah be pleased with him) — his name was Sayyiduna Amir bin Usamah (may Allah be pleased with him).

- وَقَالَ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ : أَبُو رَافِعٍ مَوْلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - اسْمُهُ إِبْرَاهِيمُ وَيُقَالُ : اسْمُهُ أَسْلَمُ .
Imam al-Tabarani said: The name of Sayyiduna Abu Rafi' (may Allah be pleased with him), the freed slave of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), was Ibrahim, and according to one view his name was "Aslam".
وَعَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ : أَنَّ اسْمَ أَبِي رَافِعٍ مَوْلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - أَسْلَمُ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ رَاوٍ لَمْ يُسَمَّ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .

A man from the people of Madinah said: The name of Sayyiduna Abu Rafi' (may Allah be pleased with him), the freed slave of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), was "Aslam".

- وَقَالَ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ : [ بَشِيرُ بِنُ الْخَصَاصِيةَ السُّدُوسِيُّ ، وَهُوَ ] بَشِيرُ بْنُ مَعْبَدِ بْنِ شَرَاحِيلَ بْنِ سَبُعِ بْنِ ضُبَارَةَ بْنِ سَدُوسٍ ، كَانَ اسْمُهُ فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ زَحْمًا ، فَسَمَّاهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - بَشِيرًا . قُلْتُ : عِنْدَ أَبِي دَاوُدَ بَعْضُهُ .
Imam al-Tabarani said: Sayyiduna Bashir bin al-Khasasiyah al-Sadusi (may Allah be pleased with him) — he is Sayyiduna Bashir bin Ma'bad bin Sharahil bin Sabu' bin Dubarah bin Sadus. In the Jahiliyyah his name was "Zahm", and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) named him "Bashir". (Allamah al-Haythami said:) I say: Imam Abu Dawud recorded part of this narration.
وَعَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ قَالَ : حَكِيمُ بْنُ حِزَامٍ يُكَنَّى أَبَا خَالِدٍ .
Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Numayr said: The kunyah of Sayyiduna Hakim bin Hizam (may Allah be pleased with him) was "Abu Khalid".
وَعَنْ هَارُونَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْحَمَّالِ قَالَ : تُوُفِّيَ أَبُو وَاقِدٍ اللَّيْثِيُّ سَنَةَ ثَمَانٍ وَسِتِّينَ ، وَاسْمُ أَبِي وَاقِدٍ : الْحَارِثُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ [ وَيُقَالُ : عَوْفُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ ] ، رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ
Harun bin Abdullah al-Hammal said: Sayyiduna Abu Waqid al-Laythi (may Allah be pleased with him) died in 68 AH. The name of Sayyiduna Abu Waqid (may Allah be pleased with him) was "al-Harith bin Malik", and according to one view it was "Awf bin Malik".

وَعَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ مَعِينٍ قَالَ : أَبُو وَاقِدٍ اللَّيْثِيُّ صَاحِبُ رَسِولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - عَوْفُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ .

Yahya bin Ma'in said: The name of Sayyiduna Abu Waqid al-Laythi (may Allah be pleased with him), the Companion of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), was "Awf bin al-Harith".

وَعَنِ الْوَاقِدِيِّ ، قَالَ : أَبُو وَاقِدٍ اللَّيْثِيُّ اسْمُهُ الْحَارِثُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَرِجَالُهُ إِلَى الْوَاقِدِيِّ ثِقَاتٌ .

Al-Waqidi said: The name of Sayyiduna Abu Waqid al-Laythi (may Allah be pleased with him) was "al-Harith bin Malik".

وَعَنْ هِشَامٍ الْكَلْبِيِّ قَالَ : اسْمُهُ الْحَارِثُ بْنُ عَوْفٍ - .
Hisham al-Kalbi said: His name was "al-Harith bin Awf".
- وَقَالَ غَيْرُ الْوَاقِدِيِّ وَهِشَامٍ : عَوْفُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ - أُسَيْدُ بْنُ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَوْرَةَ بْنِ عَنَانَةَ بْنِ كِنَانَةَ بْنِ شَجْعِ بْنِ عَامِرِ بْنِ لَيْثٍ .
Others besides al-Waqidi and Hisham said: He is Sayyiduna Awf bin al-Harith bin Usayd bin Jabir bin Awrah bin Ananah bin Kinanah bin Shaj' bin Amir bin Layth.
وَعَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ قَالَ : أَبُو وَاقِدٍ اسْمُهُ الْحَارِثُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ ، رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ .

- وَقَالَ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ : الْحَارِثُ بْنُ مَالِكِ بْنِ الْبَرْصَاءِ اللَّيْثِيُّ ، وَهُوَ الْحَارِثُ بْنُ مَالِكِ بْنِ قَيْسِ بْنِ عُوَيْذِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ مَنَاةَ بْنِ شَجْعِ بْنِ عَامِرِ بْنِ لَيْثِ بْنِ بَكْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ مَنَاةَ بْنِ كِنَانَةَ . .
Imam al-Tabarani said: Sayyiduna al-Harith bin Malik bin al-Barsa' al-Laythi (may Allah be pleased with him). He is Sayyiduna al-Harith bin Malik bin Qays bin Uwaydh bin Abdullah bin Jabir bin Abd Manat bin Shaj' bin Amir bin Layth bin Bakr bin Abd Manat bin Kinanah.
وَعَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ قَالَ : سَعْدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ : هُوَ أَبُو زَيْدٍ الَّذِي جَمَعَ الْقُرْآنَ ، وَابْنُهُ عُمَيْرُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ : هُوَ وَالِي عُمَرَ ، وَهُوَ سَعْدُ بْنُ عُمَيْرِ بْنِ النُّعْمَانِ ، رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ .
Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Numayr said: Sayyiduna Sa'd bin Ubayd (may Allah be pleased with him) — he is Sayyiduna Abu Zayd, who collected the Qur'an; and his son is Sayyiduna Umayr bin Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him), who was the governor appointed by Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him); and he is Sayyiduna Sa'd bin Umayr bin al-Nu'man (may Allah be pleased with him).

وَعَنْ أَبِي مَعْشَرٍ قَالَ : سَعْدُ بْنُ خَوْلِيٍّ مَوْلَى مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ حَاطِبِ بْنِ أَبِي بَلْتَعَةَ ، وَهُوَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ مَذْحِجٍ
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَرِجَالُهُ إِلَى أَبِي مَعْشَرٍ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَرِجَالُهُ إِلَى أَبِي مَعْشَرٍ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Abu Ma'shar said: Sayyiduna Sa'd bin Khawli, the freed slave of Sayyiduna Muhammad bin Hatib bin Abi Balta'ah (may Allah be pleased with him), is a man from Madhhij.
