عَنْ أَبِي زَيْدٍ : أَنَّهُ غَزَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - سَبْعَ غَزَوَاتٍ . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ .
It is reported about Sayyiduna Abu Zayd (may Allah be pleased with him) that he took part in seven military expeditions alongside the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).

وَعَنْ أَبِي زَيْدٍ قَالَ : قَاتَلْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - ثَلَاثَ عَشْرَةَ مَرَّةً .
قَالَ شُعْبَةُ : وَهُوَ جَدُّ عَزْرَةَ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ غَيْرَ تَمِيمِ بْنِ حُوَيْصٍ ، وَهُوَ ثِقَةٌ .

Sayyiduna Abu Zayd (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I fought alongside the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) thirteen times. The narrator Shu'bah says: He is the grandfather of the narrator Azrah.

وَعَنْ أَبِي زَيْدٍ : عَمْرِو بْنِ أَخْطَبَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ قَالَ : اسْتَسْقَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَأَتَيْتُهُ بِقَدَحٍ فِيهِ مَاءٌ ، فَكَانَتْ فِيهِ شَعْرَةٌ فَأَخَذْتُهَا ، فَقَالَ : " اللَّهُمَّ جَمِّلْهُ " .
قَالَ : فَرَأَيْتُهُ وَهُوَ ابْنُ أَرْبَعٍ وَتِسْعِينَ لَيْسَ فِي لِحْيَتِهِ شَعْرَةٌ بَيْضَاءُ .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ : سِتُّونَ سَنَةً . وَإِسْنَادُهُ حَسَنٌ .
قَالَ : فَرَأَيْتُهُ وَهُوَ ابْنُ أَرْبَعٍ وَتِسْعِينَ لَيْسَ فِي لِحْيَتِهِ شَعْرَةٌ بَيْضَاءُ .

Sayyiduna Abu Zayd Amr bin Akhtab al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked for something to drink, so I brought him water. There was a hair in it, which I removed, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Allah, beautify him!" The narrator says: I saw him when he was 94 years old, and even then there was not a single white hair in his beard.

وَعَنْ أَبِي زَيْدِ بْنِ أَخْطَبَ قَالَ : قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " جَمَّلَكَ اللَّهُ " . وَكَانَ رَجُلًا جَمِيلًا حَسَنَ الشَّمَطِ .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ عَنْ شَيْخِهِ : الْحَجَّاجِ بْنِ نُصَيْرٍ ، وَقَدْ وَثَّقَهُ غَيْرُ وَاحِدٍ وَضَعَّفَهُ جَمَاعَةٌ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ عَنْ شَيْخِهِ : الْحَجَّاجِ بْنِ نُصَيْرٍ ، وَقَدْ وَثَّقَهُ غَيْرُ وَاحِدٍ وَضَعَّفَهُ جَمَاعَةٌ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Sayyiduna Abu Zayd bin Akhtab (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me: "May Allah Almighty beautify you." The narrator says: He was a handsome, distinguished man, with beautiful grey hair.
