اُردوEn
وَعَنْ أَبِي زَيْدِ بْنِ أَخْطَبَ قَالَ : قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " جَمَّلَكَ اللَّهُ " . وَكَانَ رَجُلًا جَمِيلًا حَسَنَ الشَّمَطِ .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ عَنْ شَيْخِهِ : الْحَجَّاجِ بْنِ نُصَيْرٍ ، وَقَدْ وَثَّقَهُ غَيْرُ وَاحِدٍ وَضَعَّفَهُ جَمَاعَةٌ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ عَنْ شَيْخِهِ : الْحَجَّاجِ بْنِ نُصَيْرٍ ، وَقَدْ وَثَّقَهُ غَيْرُ وَاحِدٍ وَضَعَّفَهُ جَمَاعَةٌ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Sayyiduna Abu Zayd bin Akhtab (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me: "May Allah Almighty beautify you." The narrator says: He was a handsome, distinguished man, with beautiful grey hair.
Imam Ahmad recorded it from his teacher al-Hajjaj bin Nusayr, whom more than one scholar declared thiqah (trustworthy) and a group declared da'if (weak); the rest of its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
