Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stood at the grave of his second daughter, who had been the wife of Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him), and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Is there no father or brother of an unmarried woman who will marry her to Uthman? If they (that is, my daughters) were ten, I would have married them to Uthman (one after another). I married (my daughters) to him only because of revelation coming from heaven.
