Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) says: Sayyiduna Umar bin al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) mounted a horse and spurred it on, and his thigh became uncovered. The people of Najran saw a black mole on his thigh and said: "This is the one whom we find mentioned in our Book, that he will expel us from our land."
Tabarani recorded it, and its chain is hasan (good).

Zirr bin Hubaysh narrates: I was in Madinah, and there was a man of tawny complexion who worked equally with both hands, of heavy build; when he was among the people, it seemed as though he were riding a mount. He was Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him).

Sa'id bin al-Musayyib narrates: The hair of Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) was completely gone from the front of his head.
Tabarani recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih. Some of his features and those of others have already been described earlier in the chapter on dyeing the hair (khidab).
