عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ - يَعْنِي ابْنَ مَسْعُودٍ - قَالَ : رَكِبَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ فَرَسًا ، فَرَكَضَهُ فَانْكَشَفَ فَخِذُهُ ، فَرَأَى أَهْلُ نَجْرَانُ عَلَى فَخِذِهِ شَامَةً سَوْدَاءَ قَالُوا : هَذَا الَّذِي نَجِدُ فِي كِتَابِنَا : إِنَّهُ يُخْرِجُنَا مِنْ أَرْضِنَا .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَإِسْنَادُهُ حَسَنٌ .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) says: Sayyiduna Umar bin al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) mounted a horse and spurred it on, and his thigh became uncovered. The people of Najran saw a black mole on his thigh and said: "This is the one whom we find mentioned in our Book, that he will expel us from our land."
