Sayyiduna Amr bin Murrah al-Juhani (may Allah be pleased with him) said: A man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "O Messenger of Allah! I bear witness that there is no god except Allah Almighty and that you are the Messenger of Allah. I perform the five prayers, I pay the zakah of my wealth, and I fast the month of Ramadan." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever dies in this state will be with the prophets, the truthful and the martyrs on the Day of Resurrection like this," and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) raised two of his fingers as he said it (and then said): "as long as he does not disobey his parents."
Ahmad and al-Tabarani recorded it with two chains. The narrators of one of al-Tabarani's two chains are the narrators of the "Sahih".
Sayyiduna Ma'qil bin Yasar (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah, the Blessed and Exalted, has disliked three things for you: disobedience to mothers, burying daughters alive, and 'man'' (that is, withholding in charity what one has) and 'hat' (that is, saying 'Give me!' when asking others)."
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Three kinds of people, Allah Almighty has forbidden Paradise to them: the habitual drinker of wine, the one disobedient (to his parents), and the shameless man (dayyuth) who tolerates indecency in his wife."
Ahmad recorded it, and its chain contains a narrator who has not been named.
Hadith Takhrij«اخرجه احمد فى المسند (5372) ، أخرجه مسند أحمد برقم: 6145، وأخرجه المعجم الكبير للطبراني برقم: 13180، وأخرجه المعجم الأوسط للطبراني برقم: 2464»
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "There are three kinds of people at whom Allah Almighty will not look on the Day of Resurrection: the one who is disobedient to his parents, the one who habitually drinks wine, and the one who reminds others of his favour after giving something. And three kinds of people will not enter Paradise: the one who is disobedient to his parents, the cuckold (dayyuth), and the rajulah (that is, the woman who imitates men)." In one narration the words are: "The woman who imitates men and adopts a masculine appearance."
Al-Bazzar recorded it with two chains, and the narrators of both are thiqat (trustworthy).
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abi Awfa (may Allah be pleased with him) says: We were with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) when a man came to him and said: "There is a young man who is breathing his last. He was told: 'Say La ilaha illallah,' but he could not say it." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "Did he use to pray?" The man replied: "Yes." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) got up, and we got up with him. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to the young man and said to him: "Say La ilaha illallah." He said: "I cannot say it." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "Why is that?" The narrator says: He used to be disobedient to his parents. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "Is his mother alive?" The people said: "Yes." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Call her and bring her here." They called the woman and brought her, and she came. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "Is this your son?" She replied: "Yes." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked the woman: "What do you think: if a fire were kindled and you were then told, 'If you intercede for this boy, we will let him go; otherwise we will burn him in this fire,' would you intercede for him?" The woman said: "O Messenger of Allah, in that case I would intercede." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Then make Allah and me witnesses and say that you are pleased with him." The woman said: "O Allah, I make You my witness and I make Your Messenger my witness that I am pleased with my son." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to the young man: "O boy, now say: There is no god but Allah, He has no partner, and I bear witness that Sayyiduna Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) is His servant and His Messenger." The young man said those words, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "All praise belongs to Allah, who has saved him from Hell through me."
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and Ahmad recorded it in a much abridged form; its chain contains a narrator, Fa'id Abu al-Warqa', who is matruk (abandoned).
Abu Ghassan al-Dabbi says: I was walking with my father across stony ground when Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) met me. He asked me: "Who is this?" I replied: "This is my father." He said: "Do not walk in front of him; rather, walk behind him or to one side of him. Do not let anyone come between you and him. Do not walk on any raised place while your father is below it, and do not eat anything that your father is looking at, for perhaps he desires it." Then he said: "Do you know Abdullah bin Khidash?" I replied: "No." He said: "I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: 'In Hell his cheek will be like Mount Uhud, and his molar tooth will be like Mount Bayda'.'" Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I said: "O Messenger of Allah, what is the reason for that?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Because that man was disobedient to his parents."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. As for the narrator Abu Ghassan and the one who narrates from him, Abu Ghanm, I do not know either of them; the rest of its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The fragrance of Paradise can be perceived from a distance of five hundred years' journey, but it will not be found by one who reminds others of his favours, or one who is disobedient to his parents, or one who habitually drinks wine."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Saghir; its chain contains a narrator, al-Rabi' bin Badr, who is matruk (abandoned).
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) says: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came out to us while we were gathered together, and he said: "O assembly of Muslims, fear Allah and maintain your ties of kinship, for the reward of nothing comes more quickly than that of maintaining the ties of kinship. And beware of disobedience to parents, for the fragrance of Paradise can be perceived from a distance of a thousand years' journey, but by Allah, one who is disobedient to his parents or one who severs the ties of kinship will not find it. The punishment of no sin comes more quickly than that of transgression or of severing the ties of kinship. And an old man who commits adultery, or one who lets his lower garment trail out of arrogance (will not find its fragrance), for grandeur belongs to Allah Almighty alone, the Lord of all the worlds. And lying is all sin, except for the lie by which you benefit a believer or by which you ward off a sin. In Paradise there is a market in which there will be no buying or selling; there will be nothing in it but images, and whoever (man or woman) likes the image of any man or woman will enter into it."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat through Muhammad bin Kathir from Jabir al-Ju'fi, and both of them are very weak (da'if jiddan).
