Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 13437

Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever claims to belong to someone other than his father, or attributes himself to someone other than his freeing masters, turning away from them, upon him is the curse of Allah. Whoever reviles his parents (the narrator is in doubt, or perhaps the word is:) his father, the same applies to him. Whoever slaughters an animal in the name of other than Allah, the same applies to him. Whoever treats as lawful anything of the sacred limits of Makkah, the same applies to him. And whoever attributes to me something I did not say, the same applies to him as well."
Abu Ya'la recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Imran al-Qattan, whom Ibn Hibban declared thiqah (trustworthy), while others declared him da'if (weak).
