وَعَنْ مَعْقِلِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَرِهَ لَكُمْ ثَلَاثًا : عُقُوقُ الْأُمَّهَاتِ ، وَوَأْدُ الْبَنَاتِ ، وَمَنْعٌ وَهَاتِ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Sayyiduna Ma'qil bin Yasar (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah, the Blessed and Exalted, has disliked three things for you: disobedience to mothers, burying daughters alive, and 'man'' (that is, withholding in charity what one has) and 'hat' (that is, saying 'Give me!' when asking others)."
