In one narration the words are: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) permitted the poetry of the days of ignorance, except for two odes of al-A'sha: one of them is about the people of Badr, and the other is about Amir and Alqamah. Al-Bazzar recorded all these narrations, and Abu Ya'la recorded them in abridged form. In the chains of both are narrators who cannot be relied upon as proof.
