Sayyiduna al-Miqdam bin Ma'dikarib (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbidding slapping animals on their cheeks. He said: "Allah Almighty has made sticks and whips for you."
Ahmad recorded it, and its chain contains a narrator who is not named, and Baqiyyah, who is a mudallis (one who conceals defects in the chain).

Abdullah bin Ziyad narrates about the two sons of Busr, both of them from Banu Sulaym: I came to them and said: "May Allah Almighty have mercy on you both! A man among us beats his animal with the whip and jerks it back with the bridle. Have you heard anything from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about this?" Then a woman called out from inside the house: "O questioner! Allah Almighty says: 'There is no creature on the earth, nor any bird that flies with its two wings, but they are communities like you (that is, particular kinds of creation). We have not neglected anything in the Book (that is, the Preserved Tablet).'"
The two of them said: "This is our sister; she is older than us, and she lived in the time of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)."
Ahmad recorded it, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
