عَنِ الْمِقْدَامِ بْنِ مَعْدِي كَرِبَ قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يَنْهَى عَنْ لَطْمِ خُدُودِ الدَّوَابِّ قَالَ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ قَدْ جَعَلَ لَكُمْ عِصِيًّا وَسِيَاطًا " . رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَفِيهِ رَاوٍ لَمْ يُسَمَّ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ مُدَلِّسٌ .
Sayyiduna al-Miqdam bin Ma'dikarib (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbidding slapping animals on their cheeks. He said: "Allah Almighty has made sticks and whips for you."
Ahmad recorded it, and its chain contains a narrator who is not named, and Baqiyyah, who is a mudallis (one who conceals defects in the chain).
