Majma al-Zawaid 13222 — The prohibition of striking the face

In one narration the wording is: "When one of you shoots or strikes, let him avoid the face."
Ahmad recorded it, and al-Bazzar recorded something similar. Its chain contains Atiyyah al-Awfi, whom a group declared da'if (weak), while Yahya bin Ma'in declared him thiqah (trustworthy). The rest of its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
