Men who imitate women and women who imitate men

A man from the tribe of Hudhayl narrates: I saw Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr bin al-As (may Allah be pleased with him); his dwelling was outside the boundaries of the Haram and his place of prayer was within the boundaries of the Haram. The narrator says: Once, while I was with him, he saw Umm Sa'id, the daughter of Abu Jahl, with a bow slung over her shoulder, walking the way men walk. Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) asked: "Who is this?" I said: "This is Umm Sa'id bint Abi Jahl." Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "They are not of us: the women who imitate men, and the men who imitate women."
Ahmad recorded it, and I do not know the man from Hudhayl. The rest of its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
Al-Tabarani recorded it in abridged form; he did not mention the unnamed man from Hudhayl, so on that basis all of al-Tabarani's narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: A woman passed by the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) with a bow hung around her neck, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "May Allah Almighty curse the women who imitate men and the men who imitate women."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat from his teacher Ali bin Sa'id al-Razi, and he is weak (layyin). The rest of its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) cursed the men who imitate women and the women who imitate men.
Ahmad, al-Bazzar and al-Tabarani recorded it. Its chain contains Thuwayr bin Abi Fakhitah, and he is matruk (abandoned).

Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) cursed the men who imitate women, cursed the women who imitate men, and cursed the one who rides alone in the wilderness.
Ahmad recorded it. Its chain contains Tayyib bin Muhammad, whom Ibn Hibban declared thiqah (trustworthy) and al-Uqayli declared da'if (weak). The rest of its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.

Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) cursed the men who imitate women and the women who imitate men.
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and al-Bazzar recorded it. Its chain contains Atiyyah al-Awfi, and he is da'if (weak).

Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) cursed the women who imitate men and the men who imitate women. The chain of this report contains Mubarak bin Suhaym, and he is matruk (abandoned).

Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Four kinds of people are cursed in this world and the Hereafter, and the angels say Amin to it: a man whom Allah Almighty created male, but he makes himself female and imitates women; a woman whom Allah Almighty created female, but she makes herself male and imitates men; the one who misleads a blind person; and a man who keeps away from women, whereas Allah Almighty made no one such that he kept away from women except Sayyiduna Yahya bin Zakariyya (peace be upon them both)" (that is, he did not marry).
Al-Tabarani recorded it. Its chain contains Ali bin Yazid al-Alhani, and he is matruk (abandoned).

Sayyiduna Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) cursed the men who imitate women and the women who imitate men.
Al-Tabarani recorded it. Its chain contains Amr bin Ubayd, and he is wicked and matruk (abandoned).

Sayyiduna Wathilah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) cursed the men who imitate women and the women who imitate men, and he said: "Expel such people from your houses!" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had Anjashah expelled, and Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) had so-and-so expelled.
Al-Tabarani recorded it. Its chain contains Hammad, the mawla (freed slave) of Banu Umayyah.

Sayyiduna Umar bin Abi Salamah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) entered the house of Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) and found an effeminate man with them who was saying: "O Abdullah bin Abi Umayyah! If Allah Almighty grants the conquest of Ta'if, I will show you Badiyah bint Ghaylan, who, when she comes forward, shows four folds, and when she turns away, shows eight." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Such people should not come in to you."
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
