Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever honours a Muslim ruler, it is as though he honours Allah Almighty."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains Bahr bin Kathir, who is matruk (abandoned).

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this as a marfu' hadith: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When a man honours his brother, he is honouring his Lord."
Al-Bazzar recorded it. Its chain contains al-Hajjaj bin Artah and Mus'ab bin Salam, both of whom are da'if (weak), though they have been declared trustworthy. The remaining narrators of this report are the narrators of the Sahih. Reports concerning the rights of a Muslim and showing mercy to people will come later in the chapter on righteousness and maintaining ties of kinship.

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever holds the stirrup of his Muslim brother, expecting nothing from him and fearing nothing from him (that is, he does it to seek the pleasure of Allah Almighty), Allah Almighty will forgive him."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains Hafs bin Umar al-Mazini, whom I do not know. The remaining narrators of this report are thiqat (trustworthy).
