بَابٌ : لَا يَمُوتُ عَبْدٌ حَتَّى يَبْلُغَ أَقْصَى أَثَرِهِ .

عَنْ أَبِي عُرْوَةَ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا أَرَادَ اللَّهُ قَبْضَ عَبْدِهِ بِأَرْضٍ وَلَّى لَهُ إِلَيْهَا حَاجَةً ، فَإِذَا بَلَغَ أَقْصَى أَثَرِهِ قَبَضَهُ " .
رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ - وَقَدْ رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ بِاخْتِصَارٍ - وَفِيهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُوسَى الْحَرَشِيُّ وَهُوَ ثِقَةٌ وَفِيهِ خِلَافٌ .
Sayyiduna Abu Urwah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When Allah Almighty intends to take the soul of a servant in a certain land, He sends him to that region for some need, and when the man reaches his particular destination, He takes his soul."
Al-Bazzar recorded it, and al-Tirmidhi recorded it in abridged form; its chain contains Muhammad bin Musa al-Harashi, who is thiqah (trustworthy), and there is disagreement about him.

وَعَنْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " إِذَا أَرَادَ اللَّهُ أَنْ يَقْبِضَ عَبْدًا بِأَرْضٍ جَعَلَ لَهُ بِهَا حَاجَةً وَلَا تَنْتَهِي حَتَّى يَقْدَمَهَا " ، ثُمَّ قَرَأَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - آخِرَ سُورَةِ لُقْمَانَ : إِنَّ اللَّهَ عِنْدَهُ عِلْمُ السَّاعَةِ وَيُنَزِّلُ الْغَيْثَ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا فِي الْأَرْحَامِ ، حَتَّى خَتَمَهَا ، ثُمَّ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " هَذِهِ مَفَاتِيحُ الْغَيْبِ لَا يَعْلَمُهَا إِلَّا اللَّهُ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ عَبَّادُ بْنُ صُهَيْبٍ وَهُوَ مَتْرُوكٌ وَاتُّهِمَ بِالْوَضْعِ ، وَقَدْ وَثَّقَهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ .
It is narrated from him that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When Allah Almighty intends to take the soul of a servant in a certain land, He creates some need for that servant in that region, and eventually the servant reaches that region." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) recited this verse found at the end of Surah Luqman: "Indeed, the knowledge of the Hour is with Allah alone; He sends down the rain, and He knows what is in the wombs." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) recited this whole verse, then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "These are the keys of the Unseen, which none knows except Allah Almighty."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains Abbad bin Suhayb, who is matruk (abandoned) and has been accused of fabricating hadith; Abu Dawud declared him thiqah (trustworthy).

وَعَنْ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَا جُعِلَتْ مَنِيَّةُ عَبْدٍ بِأَرْضٍ إِلَّا جُعِلَ لَهُ فِيهَا حَاجَةٌ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ . وَقَدْ تَقَدَّمَتْ أَحَادِيثُ فِي الْجَنَائِزِ فِي دَفْنِ كُلِّ مَيِّتٍ فِي التُّرْبَةِ الَّتِي خُلِقَ مِنْهَا .
Sayyiduna Usamah bin Zayd (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When a servant's death is to come in a particular land, some need is created for that servant in that place."
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih. Some hadiths of this kind have already passed in the Book of Funerals, in which it is mentioned that every deceased person is buried in the same soil from which he was created.
