Everyone is eased towards that for which he was created

Sayyiduna Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I said: O Messenger of Allah! Do we act according to something that has already been settled, or is it something newly arising? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: It is something that has already been settled. He said: O Messenger of Allah! Then why should deeds be done? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "For each one, that for which he was created is made easy."
Ahmad and al-Bazzar recorded it, and al-Tabarani recorded it; he said: It is reported from Attaf bin Khalid, who said: Talhah bin Abdullah narrated this hadith to me. The narrator Attaf was declared thiqah (trustworthy) by Yahya bin Ma'in and a group, and there is weakness in him; the rest of its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy), except that among Ahmad's narrators there is an unnamed (mubham) person.

It is narrated about Sayyiduna Umar bin al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): What is your view regarding the deeds we do: have they already been settled, or are they a matter newly arising? (Here the narrator is in doubt about one word, but the meaning is the same.) The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: It is something that has already been settled. Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Then should we not rely on that? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: O son of al-Khattab! Do deeds! For each one (his particular course) is made easy. If he is among the people of happiness, he will do the deeds of happiness, and if he is among the people of wretchedness, he will do the deeds of wretchedness.
Ahmad recorded it; its chain contains Asim bin Ubaydullah, who is da'if (weak).

Sayyiduna Abu al-Darda (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The people said: O Messenger of Allah! What is your view regarding the deeds we do: have they already been settled, or are they a matter that arises anew? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Rather, it is a matter that has already been settled. The people said: O Messenger of Allah! Then why should deeds be done? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: For every person, that for which he was created is made ready.
Ahmad and al-Bazzar recorded it, and its chain is hasan (good); al-Tabarani also recorded it. Its chain contains Sulayman bin Utbah, whom Abu Hatim and a group declared thiqah (trustworthy), while Yahya bin Ma'in and others declared him da'if (weak); the rest of its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).

It is narrated about Sayyiduna Dhu al-Lihyah al-Kilabi (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: O Messenger of Allah! Do we act on the basis of a matter newly arising, or is it a matter that has already been settled? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: No! Rather, it is a matter that has already been settled. He said: Then why should we act? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do deeds! For each person, that for which he was created is made easy.
Ibn Ahmad and al-Tabarani recorded it, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).

Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Sayyiduna Umar bin al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) said: O Messenger of Allah! What is your view regarding the deeds we do: are they regarding something that has already been settled, or regarding something newly arising? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Rather, they are regarding something that has already been settled. He said: Then why will deeds be done? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: For each one, that for which he was created is made easy.
Al-Bazzar recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: A man said: O Messenger of Allah! Do we act regarding something about which the decree has already been issued and the Pen has dried, or is it a matter that we bring about anew? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: No! Rather, it is according to that about which the decree has been issued and the Pen has dried. The man said: Then why should deeds be done? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do deeds! For each person, that for which he was created is made easy.
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and al-Bazzar recorded a similar narration, except that at its end he recorded these words: "The people said to one another: Now we will strive with full effort." Al-Tabarani's narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).

Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: Sayyiduna Suraqah bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) stood before the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah! What is your view about our deeds which we do: will we be held accountable for them before the Creator, so that if the deeds are good the outcome will be good and if the deeds are bad the outcome will be bad, or is it something about which the decree has already been settled and the Pen has dried? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: O Suraqah! The decree about it has already come and the Pen has dried concerning it. He said: O Messenger of Allah! Then on what basis should we act? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: O Suraqah! Do deeds! For each doer, that for which he was created is made easy. Sayyiduna Suraqah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Then we will strive with full effort.
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains Abd al-Karim Abu Umayyah, who is da'if (weak).

It is narrated about Sayyiduna Suraqah bin Malik bin Ju'shum al-Mudliji (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: O Messenger of Allah! Do we act regarding something that has already been settled, or do we act anew? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Rather, this deed is such that it has already been settled. He said: O Messenger of Allah! Then why should deeds be done? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: For each one, his particular deed is made easy. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Now there will be full effort, now there will be full effort. (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: Ibn Majah recorded part of this report.
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
