عَنْ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " مَنْ رَآنِي فَقَدْ رَآنِي الْحَقَّ " . رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Sayyiduna Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever has seen me (in a dream) has in reality seen me myself."
Ahmad recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.

وَعَنْ أَبِي مَالِكٍ الْأَشْجَعِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " مَنْ رَآنِي فِي الْمَنَامِ فَقَدْ رَآنِي " . رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَالْبَزَّارُ ، وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Sayyiduna Abu Malik al-Ashja'i (may Allah be pleased with him) reports from his father: the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever has seen me in a dream has seen me myself."
Ahmad, al-Bazzar and al-Tabarani recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.

وَعَنْ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " الرُّؤْيَا الصَّالِحَةُ مِنَ اللَّهِ ، وَالْحُلْمُ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ ، فَمَنْ رَأَى شَيْئًا يَكْرَهُهُ فَلْيَنْفُثْ عَنْ شِمَالِهِ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ ، وَلْيَتَعَوَّذْ بِاللَّهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ فَإِنَّهَا لَا تَضُرُّهُ ، وَإِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ لَا يَتَرَاءَى بِي " . قُلْتُ : هُوَ فِي الصَّحِيحِ بِاخْتِصَارٍ . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَإِسْنَادُهُ حَسَنٌ .
Sayyiduna Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Good dreams are from Allah Almighty, and bad dreams are from Satan. Whoever sees (in a dream) something that displeases him should spit lightly to his left three times and seek refuge with Allah from Satan; then that dream will not harm him. And Satan cannot take on my form." (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say:
This narration is reported in the "Sahih" in abridged form.
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and its chain is hasan (good).

وَعَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " مَنْ رَآنِي فِي الْمَنَامِ فَقَدْ رَآنِي ، فَإِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ لَا يَتَمَثَّلُ بِي وَلَا بِالْكَعْبَةِ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الصَّغِيرِ وَالْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي السَّرِيِّ ، وَثَّقَهُ ابْنُ مَعِينٍ ، وَغَيْرُهُ ، وَفِيهِ لِينٌ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) relates: the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever has seen me in a dream has seen me myself, for Satan cannot take on my form, nor the form of the Ka'bah."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Saghir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains Muhammad bin Abi al-Sari, whom Yahya bin Ma'in and others declared thiqah (trustworthy), though there is some weakness in him; the remaining narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.

وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " مَنْ رَآنِي مِنَ الْمَنَامِ فَقَدْ رَآنِي فِي الْيَقَظَةِ ، وَلَا يَتَمَثَّلُ الشَّيْطَانُ بِي " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ وَالْكَبِيرِ ، وَلَفْظُهُ : " مَنْ رَآنِي فِي الْمَنَامِ فَكَأَنَّمَا رَآنِي فِي الْيَقَظَةِ ، مَنْ رَآنِي فَقَدْ رَأَى الْحَقَّ ، فَإِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ لَا يَتَمَثَّلُ بِي " ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever has seen me in a dream, it is as though he has seen me while awake (that is, in reality he has seen me myself), and Satan cannot take on my form."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat and al-Mu'jam al-Kabir, and his wording is: "Whoever has seen me in a dream, it is as though he has seen me while awake; and whoever has seen me has seen the truth, for Satan cannot take on my form and appearance." The narrators of this narration are thiqat (trustworthy).

وَعَنْ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " مَنْ رَآنِي فِي الْمَنَامِ فَقَدْ رَآنِي فِي الْيَقَظَةِ " فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ الْحَكَمُ بْنُ ظُهَيْرٍ وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .
Sayyiduna Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever has seen me in a dream has indeed seen me while awake (that is, in reality he has seen me myself)." After this, the narrator mentioned the full hadith.
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains al-Hakam bin Zuhayr, who is da'if (weak).

وَعَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْخَثْعَمِيِّ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ مِثْلَ حَدِيثِ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " مَنْ رَآنِي فِي الْمَنَامِ فَسَيَرَانِي فِي الْيَقَظَةِ ، وَلَا يَتَمَثَّلُ الشَّيْطَانُ بِي " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ مَنْ لَمْ أَعْرِفْهُ .
Sayyiduna Malik bin Abdullah al-Khath'ami (may Allah be pleased with him) reports from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): after this, the narrator reported a narration like the hadith narrated by Sayyiduna Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him): the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever has seen me in a dream will soon see me while awake, and Satan cannot take on my form and appearance."
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains a narrator whom I do not know.

وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ - يَعْنِي ابْنَ مَسْعُودٍ - قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - لَا يُخَيَّلُ عَلَى مَنْ رَآهُ . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) says: Whoever sees the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) (in a dream), it is not merely his imagination (rather, he has truly seen the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)).
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).

وَعَنْ خُزَيْمَةَ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ فِي الْمَنَامِ كَأَنِّي أَسْجُدُ عَلَى جَبْهَةِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَأَخْبَرْتُ بِذَلِكَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَقَالَ : " إِنَّ الرُّوحَ لَيَلْقَى الرُّوحَ " . فَأَقْنَعَ النَّبِيُّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - رَأْسَهُ هَكَذَا ، فَوَضَعَ جَبْهَتَهُ عَلَى جَبْهَةِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - . رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ بِأَسَانِيدَ ، أَحَدُهَا هَذَا وَهُوَ مُتَّصِلٌ .
Sayyiduna Khuzaymah bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) relates: I saw in a dream that I was prostrating on the forehead of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). I told the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about it, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "(In dreams) one soul meets another soul." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) lowered his blessed head, and Sayyiduna Khuzaymah (may Allah be pleased with him) placed his forehead on the forehead of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
Ahmad recorded it with several chains, one of which is this one, and it is muttasil (connected).

Hadith Takhrij «اخرجه احمد فى المسند (214/5) ، أخرجه مسند أحمد برقم: 21371»
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَقَالَ : فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " اجْلِسْ ، وَاسْجُدْ ، وَاصْنَعْ كَمَا رَأَيْتَ " ، وَرِجَالُهُمَا ثِقَاتٌ .
Al-Tabarani recorded this narration, but in it his wording is: the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: "Sit and prostrate, and do just as you saw (in the dream)." The narrators of both narrations are thiqat (trustworthy).

وَعَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ خُزَيْمَةَ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ - وَخُزَيْمَةُ الَّذِي جَعَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - شَهَادَتَهُ شَهَادَةَ رَجُلَيْنِ - قَالَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ : فَأَخْبَرَنِي عُمَارَةُ بْنُ خُزَيْمَةَ ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ - وَكَانَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - أَنَّ خُزَيْمَةَ بْنَ ثَابِتٍ رَأَى فِي النَّوْمِ أَنَّهُ سَجَدَ عَلَى جَبْهَةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَجَاءَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَذَكَرَ ذَلِكَ لَهُ ، فَاضْطَجَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَسَجَدَ عَلَى جَبْهَتِهِ . رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ عَنْ شَيْخِهِ عَامِرِ بْنِ صَالِحٍ الزُّبَيْرِيِّ ، وَثَّقَهُ أَحْمَدُ وَأَبُو حَاتِمٍ ، وَضَعَّفَهُ جَمَاعَةٌ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
Ibn Shihab reported this narration from Umarah bin Khuzaymah bin Thabit al-Ansari. Sayyiduna Khuzaymah (may Allah be pleased with him) is the Companion whose testimony the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) declared equal to the testimony of two men. Ibn Shihab says: Umarah bin Khuzaymah reported this from his paternal uncle, who was a Companion of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He relates: Sayyiduna Khuzaymah bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) saw in a dream that he was prostrating on the forehead of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came, and he mentioned this before the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) lay down, and Sayyiduna Khuzaymah (may Allah be pleased with him) prostrated on the forehead of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
Ahmad recorded it from his teacher Amir bin Salih al-Zubayri, whom Ahmad and Abu Hatim declared thiqah (trustworthy) while a group declared him da'if (weak); the remaining narrators of this narration are thiqat (trustworthy).

وَعَنْ خُزَيْمَةَ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ أَنَّهُ رَأَى فِي مَنَامِهِ أَنَّهُ يُقَبِّلُ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَأَخْبَرَهُ بِذَلِكَ ، فَقَامَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَقَبَّلَ جَبْهَتَهُ . رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَفِيهِ عُمَارَةُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ ، وَلَمْ يَرْوِ عَنْهُ غَيْرُ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ الْخَطْمِيِّ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Sayyiduna Khuzaymah bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) relates that he saw in a dream that he was kissing the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He told the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about it, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stood before him, and he kissed the blessed forehead of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
Ahmad recorded it; its chain contains Umarah bin Uthman, from whom no one besides Abu Ja'far al-Khatmi has narrated; the remaining narrators of this narration are the narrators of the Sahih.

وَعَنِ الْمُثَنَّى - يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَعِيدٍ - قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَنَسًا يَقُولُ : قَلَّ لَيْلَةٌ تَأْتِي عَلَيَّ إِلَّا وَأَنَا أَرَى فِيهَا خَلِيلِي - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - وَأَنَسٌ يَقُولُ ذَلِكَ وَتَدْمَعُ عَيْنَاهُ . رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Al-Muthanna bin Sa'id relates: I heard Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) say: "Most often I am granted a sight of my beloved friend (peace and blessings be upon him) in my dreams." The narrator says: Whenever Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) said this, tears would flow from his eyes.
