Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: A slave-woman of Sayyidah Hafsah (may Allah be pleased with her), the honoured wife of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), cast a spell of sorcery on her, and then she confessed it against herself. So Sayyidah Hafsah (may Allah be pleased with her) gave an order to Abd al-Rahman bin Yazid, and he killed that slave-woman. Sayyiduna Uthman al-Ghani (may Allah be pleased with him) objected to Sayyidah Hafsah (may Allah be pleased with her) about this. So Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) came to him and told him that the slave-woman had cast a spell on her and had also confessed it. (The narrator says:) It seems that Sayyiduna Uthman al-Ghani (may Allah be pleased with him) had objected because she had done this herself, without the ruler of the time (that is, she had had her punished).
Al-Tabarani recorded it as a narration of Isma'il bin Ayyash from the people of Madinah, and
such a narration is da'if (weak); the rest of its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).

Sayyiduna Zayd bin Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He tied knots for the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and placed the knotted thing in the well of a man from the Ansar (that is, he cast a spell of sorcery on the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)). Two angels came to visit the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in his illness. One of them sat at his head and the other at his feet. One of them said: "Do you know what his ailment is?" The other said: "So-and-so came to him and tied knots for him, and threw the thing into the well of so-and-so the Ansari (that is, he cast a spell on him). If he sends someone to that well, that person will find its water yellow." The narrator says: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent a man; he took the knotted thing and untied it, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) recovered. After that, that man (the one who did the sorcery) continued to come to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), but the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not mention anything of this to him, nor did he punish him.

Hadith Takhrij «
In one version the wording is: The narrator says: A man from the Jews cast a spell of sorcery on the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and because of it he was ill for some days. Sayyiduna Jibril (peace be upon him) came to him and said: "A man from the Jews has cast a spell on you, and he has tied knots for you." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) to it, and he took the thing out; and as he untied each knot, the condition of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) kept improving. After that, the narrator mentioned the narration as before. (Al-Haythami says:) I say: Al-Nasa'i (may Allah have mercy on him) recorded it in abridged form.
Al-Tabarani recorded it with various chains, the narrators of one of which are the narrators of the Sahih. The incident of Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) and her slave-woman has already passed in the chapter on medicine.
