Sayyiduna Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A people whose affairs are in the charge of (that is, ruled by) a woman will not succeed."
Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat from his teacher Abu Ubaydah Abd al-Warith bin Ibrahim, whom I do not know; the rest of its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).

Abdullah bin al-Hajanna' narrates: When Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) arrived, we came to Sayyiduna Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him) and said: This is Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her); you used to say, "Aishah, Aishah"; here is Aishah, she has come, so come out with us. Sayyiduna Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I have remembered a hadith that I heard from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) himself. I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), while mentioning Bilqis, the ruler of Saba', say: "Allah Almighty does not grant purity to a nation that is led by a woman." (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: A hadith reported from Sayyiduna Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him) other than this one is mentioned in the Sahih.
Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains a group of narrators whom I do not know.
