It is narrated from Sayyidah Aishah Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: Once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) went out, having tied a knot between his two shoulders. A Bedouin said to him: "O Messenger of Allah, what is the reason for this?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Bedouin, woe to you! I have worn it so that I may subdue arrogance."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains a narrator, Mansur bin Ammar, and he is da'if (weak).

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Sarjis (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: One day the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed while wearing a striped wrap. He said to one of his Companions: "Give me your wrap and take mine." He said: "O Messenger of Allah, your wrap is finer than mine." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes! But it has red embroidery in it, and I feared that I would look at it and it would distract my attention."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih, except Musa bin Tariq, and he is thiqah (trustworthy).
