Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would not go to his household at night (on returning from a long journey); he would go in the daytime or in the evening.
Ahmad recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih, except that I have not found any report of Abd al-Samad bin Abd al-Warith having heard from Ishaq bin Abdullah bin Abi Talhah.

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) camped at al-Aqiq and forbade going to the women at night. Two men disobeyed him, and both of them found a situation they disliked.
Ahmad, Bazzar and Tabarani recorded it, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).

Sayyiduna Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade a man to go to his wife (on returning from a long journey) at night after the Isha prayer.
Ahmad recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih, except that al-Zuhri did not live in the time of Sayyiduna Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him).

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Rawahah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: He returned from a journey and went to his wife. There was a lamp in the house, and someone was with his wife. He took hold of his sword, and his wife said: "Stay back! This is so-and-so, the woman who combs my hair." Then Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and told him about it, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade a man to go to his wife (on returning from a long journey) at night.
Ahmad recorded it, and Tabarani recorded it in abridged form. Its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih, except that the narrator Abu Salamah did not meet Sayyiduna Ibn Rawahah (may Allah be pleased with him).

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not go to the women at night." (The narrator explains:) That is, when someone comes back from a journey, he should go to his wife only in the daytime. The narrator says: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) returned from a journey, and two men went to their wives even after this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and each of them found a man with his wife.
Tabarani recorded it, and Bazzar recorded it in abridged form. Its chain contains a narrator, Zam'ah bin Salih, who is da'if (weak), though he has also been declared trustworthy.
