Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) states: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave the ruling that there is no shighar (exchange marriage) in Islam.
Ahmad recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih, except Ibn Ishaq, and he has explicitly stated that he heard the hadith (tahdith).

Al-Bazzar recorded it; its chain contains Sa'id bin Abd al-Jabbar bin Wa'il, whom al-Nasa'i (may Allah have mercy on him) declared da'if (weak).

Sayyiduna Ubayy bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There is no shighar in Islam." The people asked: "What is meant by shighar?" He said: "Marrying a woman in exchange for a woman, such that there is no dowry (mahr) between them."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Saghir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains Yusuf bin Khalid al-Samti, who is da'if (weak), and its chain is also broken (munqati').

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) states: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to say: "He is not one of us who plunders." And he also said: "There is no shighar in Islam." (The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), or perhaps the narrator, says:) Shighar means that two women are married, the marriage of one in exchange for the other, without any dowry.
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains Abu al-Sabbah Abd al-Ghafur, who is matruk (abandoned).
