عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَضَى أَنَّ الْعَقْلَ بَيْنَ وَرَثَةِ الْقَتِيلِ عَلَى فَرَائِضِهِمْ .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ruled that the blood money is to be divided among the heirs of the slain person according to their prescribed shares.

وَعَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ أَنَّ أَسْعَدَ بْنَ زُرَارَةَ قَالَ لِعُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ : إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - كَتَبَ إِلَى الضَّحَّاكِ بْنِ سُفْيَانَ أَنْ يُوَرِّثَ امْرَأَةَ أَشْيَمَ الضَّبَابِيِّ مِنْ دِيَةِ زَوْجِهَا .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ .

Sayyiduna Mughirah bin Shu'bah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Sayyiduna As'ad bin Zurarah (may Allah be pleased with him) said to Sayyiduna Umar bin al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him): The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) wrote to Dahhak bin Sufyan that he should make the wife of Ashyam al-Dibabi an heir from the blood money of her husband.

وَعَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ قَتْلَ أَشْيَمَ كَانَ خَطَأً .

Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Ashyam (may Allah be pleased with him) was killed by accidental killing.
