Sayyiduna Ammar bin Yasir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "The lawful is clear and the unlawful is clear, and between the two are doubtful matters. Whoever guards himself against them protects his religion and his honour, and whoever falls into them is close to falling into major sins as well. His example is like one who grazes his animals around a sanctuary pasture and is about to enter the pasture itself. Every king has a private pasture, and the private pasture of Allah Almighty is the limits He has set."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains Musa bin Ubaydah al-Rabadhi, who is da'if (weak).

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The lawful is clear and the unlawful is clear, and between the two are some doubtful matters. Whoever guards himself against them safeguards his religion and his honour, and whoever falls into doubtful matters will soon fall into the unlawful, just as an animal grazing around a sanctuary pasture may enter the pasture itself without even realising it."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat.

In al-Mu'jam al-Saghir he recorded, from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both), this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "The lawful is clear and the unlawful is clear, so leave what puts you in doubt for what does not put you in doubt."
