عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ : كُنَّا لَا نَقْتُلُ تُجَّارَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - .
رَوَاهُ أَبُو يَعْلَى ، وَفِيهِ الْحَجَّاجُ بْنُ أَرْطَاةَ ، وَهُوَ مُدَلِّسٌ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .

Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) says: In the blessed time of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), we would not kill the merchants of the polytheists.
Abu Ya'la recorded it; its chain contains al-Hajjaj bin Artah, who is a mudallis, and the rest of its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
