Sayyiduna Urwah bin Mudarris bin Aws bin Harithah bin Lam (may Allah be pleased with him) states that in the blessed time of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), (having come) for Hajj, he reached the people at night when they were at Muzdalifah. Then he went from there to Arafat, then he came back and arrived at Muzdalifah. He said: "O Messenger of Allah, I have exerted myself and worn out my mount; has my Hajj been accomplished?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever offers the Fajr prayer with us at Muzdalifah and stands with us until we depart, having already come from Arafat before that, by day or by night, his Hajj is complete and he has fulfilled what was due from him." (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say:
This report is also mentioned in the Sunan, but there is no mention in it of his going back to Arafah and coming from there.
Ahmad and al-Tabarani in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir recorded something similar, except that in it are these words: "By Allah, I did not leave any mountain on which you had stood without standing on it." The narrators of Ahmad are the narrators of the Sahih.

In the narration of al-Tabarani in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir are these words: Sayyiduna Urwah bin Mudarris (may Allah be pleased with him) states that he came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) at Muzdalifah before he departed. When he saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), he said: "O Messenger of Allah, I have traversed the two mountains and met with hardship." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever catches our departure has caught the Hajj." Abdullah bin Ahmad added these words in his narration: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Put your anxiety to rest; whoever has caught this departure of ours has caught the Hajj." (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say:
This report is recorded in the Sunan without this context. As for his words "Put your anxiety to rest," it means: when grief has left him. This is the meaning stated in al-Nihayah.
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain contains Dawud bin Yazid al-Awdi. Ibn Adi said: "I have not seen any munkar (denounced) hadith from him that goes beyond the limit when a trustworthy narrator narrates from him." Shu'bah and Sufyan narrated from him, and a group declared him da'if (weak).

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever reaches Arafah before true dawn has caught the Hajj."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains Umar bin Qays al-Makki, who is da'if (weak) and matruk (abandoned). In one narration in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat the words are: "before the sun rises," but that manuscript is defective. Before this, from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both),
this report has already passed: "Hajj is (standing at) Arafat." It passed in the chapter on standing.
