It is reported about Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he said: O my sons, set out from Makkah for Hajj on foot, until you return to Makkah on foot, for I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "The one who goes for Hajj riding receives seventy good deeds for every step his mount takes, and the one who goes for Hajj on foot receives, for every step he takes, seven hundred good deeds from the good deeds of the Haram." It was asked: O Messenger of Allah! What are the good deeds of the Haram? He said: "One good deed equal to one hundred thousand."
Imam al-Bazzar recorded it, and Imam al-Tabarani recorded something similar in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat and al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; it contains a whole story. Imam al-Bazzar
recorded it with two chains: one of them contains a narrator who is kadhdhab (a liar), and the other contains a narrator, Isma'il bin Ibrahim, narrating from Sa'id bin Jubayr;
he narrated this report. I do not know him, and the remaining narrators of this report are thiqat (trustworthy).

Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A group from the tribe of Muzaynah, a group from the tribe of Hudhayl and a group from the tribe of Juhaynah came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). They said: O Messenger of Allah! We set out for Makkah on foot, while some people set out riding. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The one who walks will receive the reward of seventy Hajj, and the one who rides will receive the reward of thirty Hajj."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains a narrator, Muhammad bin Mihsan al-Ukkashi, who is matruk (abandoned).
