Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) reports this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "When every Muslim among mankind reaches the morning, a prayer (salah) is due from him." One of those present said: "This is very hard; who has the strength for it?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Enjoining good is a prayer, forbidding evil is a prayer, carrying a load for a weak person is a prayer, and every step that one takes on his way to prayer is a prayer."

Hadith Gradingمحدثین:إسناده ضعيف، لكن الحديث صحيح لوجود شاهدٍ له
In one narration the words are: "When every Muslim among the children of Adam reaches the morning, a charity is due from him every day." This word is used in place of "prayer".
Abu Ya'la, al-Bazzar and al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. He recorded something similar in al-Mu'jam al-Saghir, and these additional words are reported in it: "Two rak'ahs of the forenoon prayer (Duha) suffice in place of all of these." The narrators of Abu Ya'la are the narrators of the Sahih.

Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Giving charity is due from every Muslim every day." A man said: "O Messenger of Allah! Who has the strength for this?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Your removing something harmful from the road is charity; your guiding a man on his way is charity; your forbidding evil is charity; your visiting the sick is charity; your following a funeral is charity; and a Muslim's returning the greeting of salam to a Muslim is charity."

In one narration the words are: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A human being has three hundred and sixty bones (the narrator is unsure whether the words are:) or thirty-six joints, and giving charity is due from him every day." The people said: "O Messenger of Allah! What about the one who does not find (the means)?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "He should enjoin good and forbid evil." The people said: "What about one who is not able to do even that?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "He should remove a bone from the road." The people said: "What about one who is not able to do even that?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "He should guide people on their way." The people said: "What about one who is not able to do even that?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "He should help a weak person." The people said: "What about one who is not able to do even that?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "He should keep people safe from his evil."
(Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: This narration is in the Sahih in abridged form. Al-Bazzar recorded the whole of it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
