عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " يُصْبِحُ عَلَى كُلِّ مُسْلِمٍ مِنَ الْإِنْسَانِ صَلَاةٌ " . فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ : هَذَا شَدِيدٌ ، وَمَنْ يُطِيقُ هَذَا ؟ فَقَالَ : " أَمَرٌ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ صَلَاةٌ ، وَنَهْيٌ عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ صَلَاةٌ ، وَإِنَّ حَمْلًا عَنِ الضَّعِيفِ صَلَاةٌ ، وَإِنَّ كُلَّ خُطْوَةٍ يَخْطُوهَا أَحَدُكُمْ إِلَى صَلَاةٍ صَلَاةٌ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) reports this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "When every Muslim among mankind reaches the morning, a prayer (salah) is due from him." One of those present said: "This is very hard; who has the strength for it?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Enjoining good is a prayer, forbidding evil is a prayer, carrying a load for a weak person is a prayer, and every step that one takes on his way to prayer is a prayer."
