Sayyidah Aishah Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her) and Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrate: A lahd (side-niche grave) was made for the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
Imam Ahmad recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.

Sayyiduna Buraydah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A lahd (side-niche grave) was made for the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), mud bricks were set up for him, and he was taken (into the grave) from the side of the qiblah.
Imam Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains a narrator, Yahya al-Himmani, about whom there is criticism.

Sayyiduna Ubayy bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "When Sayyiduna Adam (peace be upon him) passed away, the angels washed him with water an odd number of times, prepared a lahd for him, and said: 'This will be the Sunnah of Sayyiduna Adam (peace be upon him) and his children.'"
Imam Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its narrators have been declared trustworthy, though there is criticism about some of them.
