Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to seek refuge from sudden death. He liked that a person should fall ill before he dies.
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Kabir. Its chain contains a narrator, Uthman bin Abd al-Rahman al-Qurashi, and he is matruk (abandoned).

Sayyidah Aishah al-Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: I asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about sudden death, and he said: "It is relief for the believer, and a grievous seizing for the wicked person."
Ahmad and al-Tabarani in al-Awsat recorded it. It contains the full story. Its chain contains a narrator, Ubaydullah bin al-Walid al-Wassafi, and he is matruk (abandoned).
