The great reward of illness

Sayyidah Aishah Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Any Muslim who is pricked even by a thorn, Allah Almighty records ten good deeds in his favour, wipes out ten of his sins, and because of it raises that person ten ranks."
(Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: This report is narrated in the Sahih in abridged form.
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat and al-Mu'jam al-Saghir. Its chain contains a narrator, Rawh bin Musafir, and he is da'if (weak).

It is reported from her that she said: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whenever a vein of a believer throbs (that is, moves due to blood pressure), Allah Almighty wipes out that servant's sins, records good deeds for him, and raises his rank."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and its chain is hasan (good).

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "On the Day of Resurrection the martyr will be brought and presented for reckoning. Then the one who gave charity will be brought and presented for reckoning. Then the people of trial will be brought, and neither a scale will be set up for them nor a register laid out for them. Reward will be poured upon them, until those who had well-being (in the world) will wish that their bodies had been cut with scissors (in the world), because of the excellent reward Allah Almighty will have given them (the people of trial)."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir. Its chain contains a narrator, Mujja'ah bin al-Zubayr, whom Ahmad declared thiqah (trustworthy) and al-Daraqutni (may Allah have mercy on him) declared da'if (weak).

Al-Asbagh bin Nubatah narrates: I went with Sayyiduna Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) to visit Sayyiduna Imam al-Hasan (may Allah be pleased with him). Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) asked him: "O son of the Messenger of Allah, how are you?" He replied: "Praise be to Allah, I am better now." Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "If Allah wills, it will be so." Then Sayyiduna Imam al-Hasan (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Support me." Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) held him against his chest, and Sayyiduna Imam al-Hasan (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard my grandfather, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), say: "Indeed, in Paradise there is a tree called the Tree of Trial. On the Day of Resurrection the people of trial will be brought; no register will be raised for them and no scale will be set up for them, and reward will be poured upon them." Then he recited this verse: "Indeed, those who are patient will be given their reward without reckoning."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir. Its chain contains a narrator, Sa'd bin Tarif, and he is extremely da'if (weak).

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) says: On the Day of Resurrection, when the people of trial see the reward, they will wish that their skins had been cut with scissors.
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir. Its chain contains a narrator whose name is not given; its remaining narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
