Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr bin al-As (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Envy is permissible only regarding two men: a man to whom Allah Almighty has given the knowledge of the Qur'an, and he remains occupied with it; he remains occupied with it, treats its lawful as lawful and its unlawful as unlawful; and a man to whom Allah Almighty has given wealth, and through it he maintains ties with his close relatives and kin, and does deeds of obedience to Allah Almighty."
