عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " مِفْتَاحُ الصَّلَاةِ الطَّهُورُ وَتَحْرِيمُهَا التَّكْبِيرُ وَتَحْلِيلُهَا التَّسْلِيمُ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَالْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ : نَافِعٌ مَوْلَى يُوسُفَ السُّلَمِيِّ ، وَهُوَ أَبُو هُرْمُزَ ، ضَعِيفٌ ذَاهِبُ الْحَدِيثِ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَالْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ : نَافِعٌ مَوْلَى يُوسُفَ السُّلَمِيِّ ، وَهُوَ أَبُو هُرْمُزَ ، ضَعِيفٌ ذَاهِبُ الْحَدِيثِ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) relates this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "The key to prayer is purification; it begins with the takbir, and it ends with the salam."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains a narrator Nafi', the freed slave of Yusuf al-Sulami; he is Abu Hurmuz, and he is da'if (weak) and dhahib al-hadith (his narrations are discarded).

وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ : تَحْرِيمُ الصَّلَاةِ التَّكْبِيرُ وَتَحْلِيلُهَا التَّسْلِيمُ ، وَإِذَا سَلَّمْتَ فَعَجَّلَتْ بِكَ حَاجَةٌ فَانْطَلِقْ قَبْلَ أَنْ تُقْبِلَ بِوَجْهِكَ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) says: "The prayer begins with the takbir and ends with the salam. When you have said the salam and you are in a hurry for some need, then get up and leave without turning to face forward."

وَعَنْ رَفَاعَةَ بْنِ رَافِعٍ : أَنَّ رَجُلًا دَخَلَ الْمَسْجِدَ وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - جَالِسٌ فَصَلَّى فَأَمَرَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - أَنْ يُعِيدَ فَأَعَادَ مَرَّتَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلَاثًا ، فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَا أَلَوْتُ بَعْدُ مَرَّتَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلَاثًا ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " إِنَّهُ لَا تَتِمُّ صَلَاةٌ لِأَحَدٍ مِنَ النَّاسِ حَتَّى يَتَوَضَّأَ ، فَيَضَعَ الْوُضُوءَ مَوَاضِعَهُ ثُمَّ يَقُولُ : اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ " .
قُلْتُ : فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ وَهُوَ فِي السُّنَنِ الْأَرْبَعَةِ غَيْرَ قَوْلِهِ : اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ .

قُلْتُ : فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ وَهُوَ فِي السُّنَنِ الْأَرْبَعَةِ غَيْرَ قَوْلِهِ : اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ .

Sayyiduna Rifa'ah bin Rafi' (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A man entered the mosque while the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was seated. He prayed, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered him to repeat the prayer. He repeated it two or perhaps three times. Then he said: "O Messenger of Allah! I have not fallen short (that is, I can only pray in this way)." He said this after two or perhaps three times. So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "No person's prayer is complete until he performs ablution, performing the ablution properly, and then he says: Allahu Akbar." (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: The narrator then mentioned the full hadith, which is recorded in the four "Sunan", except that they do not contain the words "Allahu Akbar".
