وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " مِفْتَاحُ الصَّلَاةِ الطَّهُورُ وَتَحْرِيمُهَا التَّكْبِيرُ وَتَحْلِيلُهَا التَّسْلِيمُ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ وَفِيهِ : الْوَاقِدِيُّ وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Zayd (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The key to prayer is purification; it begins with the takbir, and it ends with the salam."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains a narrator al-Waqidi, and he is "da'if" (weak).
