Sayyiduna Jubayr bin Mut'im (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When any of you offers prayer facing a sutrah, he should stand close to it, so that Shaytan cannot interrupt his prayer."
Imam Bazzar and Tabarani, in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir, recorded it; however, he narrated these words: "He should stand close to it, so that Shaytan does not pass between him and that sutrah." Imam Bazzar's chain contains a narrator, Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Umayr, who is da'if (weak). Tabarani's chain contains a narrator, Sulayman bin Ayyub al-Sarifini, and I have not found anyone who mentions him. The remaining narrators of Tabarani are thiqat (trustworthy).

Hadith Takhrij«
It is reported about Sayyiduna Sahl bin al-Hanzaliyyah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he passed by a man who was offering prayer at some distance from the qiblah (the wall on the side of the qiblah). Sayyiduna Sahl (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Move a little forward to your place of prayer, so that Shaytan does not interrupt your prayer. I am telling you what I heard from the tongue of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain contains a narrator, Bishr bin Numayr, who is kadhdhab (a liar).

Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; the narrator Abu Ubaydah did not hear from his father.
