Sayyiduna Ammar bin Yasir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw me while I was giving two men water to drink from my vessel. Meanwhile I spat, and my spittle got on my garment as well. I began to wash my garment from the vessel in front of me. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: O Ammar! Your phlegm and the tears of your eyes are just like the water that is in your vessel. Wash urine, excrement, semen, blood and vomit from your garment.
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, recorded something similar in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir, and Imam Abu Ya'la recorded it.

Imam al-Bazzar recorded
this narration on the authority of Sayyiduna Ammar (may Allah be pleased with him); he narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw me while I was at a well, drawing water with a bucket into my vessel. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: What are you doing? I said: O Messenger of Allah! I am washing my garment, which had janabah (sexual impurity) on it. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: O Ammar! A garment is washed only because of excrement, urine, vomit or blood. The chains of all these narrations revolve around a narrator named Thabit bin Hammad, and he is extremely da'if (weak); and Allah knows best.
