عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ قَالَ : كُنَّا مَعَ ابْنِ عُمَرَ - رَحِمَهُ اللَّهُ - فِي سَفَرٍ ، فَمَرَّ بِمَكَانٍ فَحَادَ عَنْهُ ، فَسُئِلَ لِمَ فَعَلْتَ ؟ قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَعَلَ هَذَا ، فَفَعَلْتُ .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَالْبَزَّارُ ، وَرِجَالُهُ مُوَثَّقُونَ .

Mujahid narrates: We were with Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) on a journey. While passing a certain place, he turned slightly aside from the path. He was asked: Why did you do that? He replied: I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) doing this, so I did it too.

وَعَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ قَالَ : كُنْتُ مَعَ ابْنِ عُمَرَ - رَحِمَهُ اللَّهُ - بِعَرَفَاتٍ ، فَلَمَّا كَانَ حِينَ رَاحَ رُحْتُ مَعَهُ حَتَّى أَتَى الْإِمَامُ فَصَلَّى مَعَهُ الْأُولَى وَالْعَصْرَ ، ثُمَّ وَقَفَ وَأَنَا وَأَصْحَابٌ لِي حَتَّى أَفَاضَ الْإِمَامُ ، فَأَفَضْنَا مَعَهُ حَتَّى انْتَهَى إِلَى الْمَضِيقِ دُونَ الْمَأْزِمَيْنِ فَأَنَاخَ ، فَأَنَخْنَا وَنَحْنُ نَحْسَبُ أَنَّهُ يُرِيدُ أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ ، فَقَالَ غُلَامُهُ الَّذِي يُمْسِكُ رَاحِلَتَهُ : إِنَّهُ لَيْسَ يُرِيدُ الصَّلَاةَ ، وَلَكِنَّهُ ذَكَرَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - لَمَّا انْتَهَى إِلَى هَذَا الْمَكَانِ قَضَى حَاجَتَهُ ، فَهُوَ يُحِبُّ أَنْ يَقْضِيَ حَاجَتَهُ .

Anas bin Sirin narrates: I was with Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) at Arafat. When it was time to depart, I departed with him, until the imam came, and Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) offered the Zuhr and Asr prayers behind him. Then he, I and my companions stayed until the imam departed, and we departed with them, until he reached a narrow place before al-Ma'zimayn. He made his mount kneel, and we made our mounts kneel too, thinking that perhaps he intended to pray. His slave, who was holding his mount, told us: He does not intend to pray; rather, he has mentioned that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) reached this place, he (peace and blessings be upon him) relieved himself here, so Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) likes to relieve himself here.

وَعَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَأْتِي شَجَرَةً بَيْنَ مَكَّةَ وَالْمَدِينَةِ فَيَقِيلُ تَحْتَهَا ، وَيُخْبِرُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - كَانَ يَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ .

It is reported about Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he used to come to a tree between Makkah and Madinah and rest beneath it, and he related that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had also done so.

وَعَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ مَحْلُولَ الْأَزْرَارِ ، وَقَالَ : رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - مَحْلُولَ الْأَزْرَارِ .
رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ وَأَبُو يَعْلَى ، وَفِيهِ عَمْرُو بْنُ مَالِكٍ ، ذَكَرَهُ ابْنُ حِبَّانَ فِي الثِّقَاتِ ، قَالَ : يُغْرِبُ وَيُخْطِئُ .

Zayd bin Aslam narrates: I saw Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) with his buttons undone. (Explaining the reason for this) he said: I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) with his buttons undone.
Al-Bazzar and Abu Ya'la recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Amr bin Malik, whom Ibn Hibban mentioned in Kitab al-Thiqat, and he said: He narrates gharib (unusual) reports and makes mistakes.
