عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " نُصِرْتُ بِالصَّبَا ، وَأُهْلِكَتْ عَادٌ بِالدَّبُورِ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الصَّغِيرِ وَالْأَوْسَطِ ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ .
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I have been helped by means of the "saba" (a particular kind of wind, the east wind), and the people of Ad were destroyed by means of the "dabur" (a particular kind of gale, the west wind)."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Saghir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
