وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " نُصِرْتُ بِالصَّبَا ، وَأُهْلِكَتْ عَادٌ بِالدَّبُورِ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ بِإِسْنَادَيْنِ رِجَالُ أَحَدِهِمَا ثِقَاتٌ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I was helped by means of the "saba" (wind), and the people of Ad were destroyed by means of the "dabur" (gale)."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat with two chains; the narrators of one of them are thiqat (trustworthy).
