وَعَنِ الْبَرَاءِ قَالَ : كَانَ أَوَّلَ مَنْ قَدِمَ عَلَيْنَا مِنَ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ مُصْعَبُ بْنُ عُمَيْرٍ أَخِي بَنِي عَبْدِ الدَّارِ بْنِ قُصَيٍّ ، فَقُلْتُ لَهُ : مَا فَعَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - ؟ قَالَ : هُوَ مَكَانُهُ ، وَأَصْحَابُهُ عَلَى أَثَرِي . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Sayyiduna al-Bara' (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The first of the Muhajirun to come to us was Sayyiduna Mus'ab bin Umayr (may Allah be pleased with him), who belonged to Banu Abd al-Dar bin Qusayy. I asked him: "How is the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)?" He said: "He is in his place, and his companions are coming behind me."
