Sayyidah Aishah Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: Hind bint Utbah bin Rabi'ah came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to give the pledge of allegiance. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) looked at her hands and said: "Go and change (the color of) your hands!" The woman went and changed them by applying henna, then she came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I take your pledge that you will not associate anyone with Allah, you will not steal and you will not commit fornication." Hind said: "Does a free woman commit fornication?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You will not kill your children for fear of poverty." Hind said: "Have you left us any children whom we could kill?" Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) took the pledge from her. She was wearing gold bracelets, and she asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "What is your view about these bracelets?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "These are two embers from among the embers of Hell."
Abu Ya'la recorded it; its chain contains narrators whom I do not know.
