وَعَنْ مِقْدَادِ بْنِ الْأَسْوَدِ قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يَقُولُ : " لَا يَبْقَى عَلَى ظَهْرِ الْأَرْضِ بَيْتُ مَدَرٍ وَلَا وَبَرٍ ، إِلَّا أَدْخَلَهُ اللَّهُ كَلِمَةَ الْإِسْلَامِ يُعَزُّ عَزِيزٌ أَوْ يُذَلُّ ذَلِيلٌ ، إِمَّا يُعِزُّهُمْ فَيَجْعَلُهُمْ مِنْ أَهْلِهِمْ ، أَوْ يُذِلُّهُمْ فَيَدِينُونَ لَهُمْ " . إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " إِمَّا يُعِزُّهُمْ فَيَهْدِيهِمْ إِلَى الْإِسْلَامِ ، أَوْ يُذِلُّهُمْ فَيُؤَدُّونَ الْجِزْيَةَ " . وَرِجَالُ أَحْمَدَ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Sayyiduna Miqdad bin al-Aswad (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "There will not remain on the face of the earth a house of mud or of hair except that Allah Almighty will bring the word of Islam into it, with the honoured receiving honour and the humbled receiving humiliation: either Allah Almighty will honour them and make them among its people, or He will humble them so that they submit to them." However, in another narration he said: "Either Allah Almighty will honour them and guide them to Islam, or He will humble them and they will pay the jizyah." The narrators of Ahmad are the narrators of the Sahih.
