Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 960

وَعَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ : أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ صُحُفَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ فِي أَوَّلِ لَيْلَةٍ خَلَتْ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ ، وَأُنْزِلَتِ التَّوْرَاةُ عَلَى مُوسَى لِسِتٍّ خَلَوْنَ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ ، وَأُنْزِلَ الزَّبُورُ عَلَى دَاوُدَ فِي إِحْدَى عَشْرَةَ لَيْلَةً خَلَتْ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ ، وَأُنْزِلَ الْقُرْآنُ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فِي أَرْبَعٍ وَعِشْرِينَ خَلَتْ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ .
رَوَاهُ أَبُو يَعْلَى ، وَفِيهِ سُفْيَانُ بْنُ وَكِيعٍ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Allah Almighty revealed the scrolls of Sayyiduna Ibrahim (peace be upon him) after the first night of Ramadan had passed; the Torah was revealed to Sayyiduna Musa (peace be upon him) after six nights of Ramadan had passed; the Zabur (Psalms) was revealed to Sayyiduna Dawud (peace be upon him) after eleven nights of Ramadan had passed; and the Qur'an was revealed to Sayyiduna Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) after twenty-four nights of Ramadan had passed.
Abu Ya'la recorded it, and its chain contains a narrator, Sufyan bin Waki', and he is da'if (weak).
