وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ : وُلِدَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - عَامَ الْفِيلِ .
رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَرِجَالُهُ مُوَثَّقُونَ .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was born in the Year of the Elephant.
Al-Bazzar recorded it (in his Musnad) and al-Tabarani in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its narrators have been declared trustworthy.
