Al-Rabi' bin Sabrah reports this statement of his father: I was present with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) when he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever (of the descendants) of Ma'add is present here, let him stand up." Sayyiduna Amr bin Murrah (may Allah be pleased with him) stood up, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: "Sit down!" This happened three times; then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Quda'ah belongs to Himyar."
Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih, except for Muhammad bin Abi Ubayd al-Darawardi, the father of Abd al-Aziz, whose case is different; I have not seen anyone mention him.
